MEET ALICE
ALICE stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. These are individuals and families who work hard but still struggle to make ends meet. Earning above the Federal Poverty Level, they are often unable to afford basic necessities like housing, food, and healthcare.
ALICE households exist in every community and include people of all races, ages, and backgrounds. Many work multiple jobs, yet their wages can’t keep up with the rising cost of living. They often face difficult choices, such as whether to pay rent or buy food, receive medical care or cover childcare expenses.
ALICE isn’t just a statistic – they are our neighbors, friends, and colleagues.
