Centennial Gala

Date and time

Location

United Way of Greater Newark’s 100th Anniversary celebration will reach its pinnacle at our Centennial Gala at The Newark Museum of Art. For 100 years, United Way of Greater Newark has committed to improving the lives of individuals, children, and families to strengthen our collective community. Please join us at the Centennial Gala for a night of celebration and fun!

United Way of Greater Newark was founded in 1923 by New Jersey’s first black social worker, William M. Ashby, as The Welfare Federation of Newark and the Community Chest. While we grew and evolved into United Way of Greater Newark, we stayed true to our values and service to the community for generations. Our Centennial Gala celebrates the rich history of our investment in the community, as well as our partners in sponsorship and the promotion of equity in Greater Newark.

Consider a Gala sponsorship to help us sustain our ongoing work in education, financial literacy, afterschool programs, and more.
